New Monkey Town releases coming soon

Modeselektor put a few new Monkey Town Records releases up on his soundcloud and I thought I'd share them with you all. As usual some great electronica taking in a rich mix of influences and produced to a super high level. Check two of the up coming releases below.

Darkness Falls - The Void

Just stumbled across 'Darkness Falls' (I'm probably later than everyone else finding them) their single 'The Void' is awesome. With a great video that truly matches the music with foggy and deserted scenes matched perfectly with the tones in the music.

They were discovered by Trentemoller too, which is surely a good enough filter for everyone!

Sepalcure - Pencil Pimp

Stumble across this through some random web browsing. As usual I won't say a massive amount other than this is definitely work checking out. Spaced out uptempo electronica with a fresh look at 'bass music'. Mixing up chicago house, rave and all sorts of sounds.

Robyn - Call Your Girlfriend (Feed Me Remix)

Currently turning lots of heads ... Feed Me is back with a new remix of 'Call Your Girlfriend' by Robyn. The original was a well written and produced electronic pop track (just as you would expect from Robyn) but this dubstep remix takes it to a whole new level.

DJ Madd rework of Claude Vonstroke - Who's Afraid Of Detroit

Just found this little gem! DJ Madd has reworked the classic Claude Vonstroke tune - Who's Afraid Of Detroit. Pushing the tempo up to 140bpm and giving it a great dubstep groove.

Make no mistake though ... this isn't a rowdy challenge to be the most gut renching nasty distorted track. The groove is smooth, nicely swung and the 808 tom style bass hits give the track a slow paced head bobbing feel. All the original textures and feel from the original track remain in tact and work brilliantly with the tempo pushed up.
